Cruise Ships Sailing Again
Eager to get back to sailing after the coronavirus cruise ships are implementing rigorous new safety and sanitation protocols for guests and crew.

In short the new policy gives cruise ships the ability to earn a green light to get back to sailing but there are lots -- and we mean lots -- of hurdles they must overcome to. Your best bet is to do your research thoroughly and regularly especially as these requirements will likely be evolving. Meanwhile other ships will come back in a staggered manner.
The cruise industrys call to be allowed to sail in US. In January the brand also announced major deployment and schedule changes for a few ships including the Carnival Miracle which had cruises cancelled through September. Avalon Waterways resumed sailing this July offering cruises on the Seine River in France.
Meanwhile in an opinion piece published in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel titled Lets require vaccinations and get cruising again Norwegian Cruise Line. When Westerdam returns on May 8 2022 the ship will embark on a season of seven-day Alaska cruises roundtrip from Seattle Washington. Just dont expect a 100 return to normal.
Through April and hopes to sail again in May. Again based on the above two pathways to begin sailing again it will be situational based on policies varying by cruise line and ship. Carnival Cruise Line recently extended its pause in operations in the US.
