In my situation Norwegian does not have an explicitly written policy that these are not allowed.
Can you use a drone on a cruise ship. Am I Allowed to Take My Drone on My Cruise. Royal Caribbean has changed its policy for drones which guests bring on the cruise ship. Guests are welcome to bring drones on their cruise for use on land only and outside of the port area.
Some places like the port of Galveston banned drones from flying within 400 feet of critical buildings eg cruise terminal and 100 yards of cruise ships. However drones are not to be operated onboard the ship at any time nor on Royal Caribbeans private destinations. However other cruiselines including Disney and Royal Caribbean have written policy that states that kites remote controlled aircraft and drones are not allowed on board the ship.
However drones are not to be operated onboard the ship at any time nor on Royal Caribbeans private destinations. Carnival and Royal Caribbean are the only two cruise lines that allow the drones to be brought onboard. But to be sure check with the cruise line.
At boarding gate on the ship I saw two years ago the notice Drones are not allowed. Normally you can never use it on the ship as this could cause safety issues. Also a lot of cruise ship ports are close to airports ports themselves might be secure no-fly zones or shared with the military and so on.
Drones used on the ship will be. But if you wan to know whether you can fly a drone over a cruise ship then it is highly dependent on the guidelines governing that area. Drone use is prohibited on most if not all cruises.
Furthermore drones only can be used on land. You almost definitely cannot take a drone on a cruise ship. The port of Galveston for example has regulations that ban drones from within 400 feet of critical infrastructure buildings such as the cruise terminal and 100 yards of cruise ships.
