Can You Take Food Off The Cruise Ship

As you may know there are some major issues on cruise ships that apply to food.

Can you take food off the cruise ship. Anyone know or have suggestions. Due to customs and agricultural laws in the different ports of call guests cannot take food and drinks off the ship. On the US Customs form there is a section which States that this is prohibited.

And bottled water is fine too. Petersburg so Im concerned about food washed in water ice cubes etc. Yes you can take food from the buffet anywhere just dont take it off the ship in a foreign port.

Bags are often checked and there may even be sniffer dogs who are trained to check for food.
